Summer Season’s Call-for-Local Auditions
Theatre Seeks Local
Talent for 24th Season; Invites Actors’ Equity Members and Non-Union
Actors to May 18 Audition
Ellenville, NY, May 5, 2008 – Shadowland Theatre, the premier, non-profit, professional
theatre of the Hudson Valley/Catskills region, today announced that it will
hold auditions for its 2008 summer season on Sunday, May 18 from 9:30 am to
5:30 pm at the theatre located at 157 Canal Street in downtown Ellenville, NY.
Hoping to draw from the best talent that the Hudson Valley
and Catskills regions has to offer, Brendan Burke, producing artistic director
at Shadowland Theatre, said, “We utilize both union
and non-union actors and look forward to a large response this year.
While it is preferred that actors auditioning prepare a brief monologue of
their choosing, sides will be available if necessary. In addition, it’s
preferred but not mandatory that actors submit a headshot and resume the day of
the audition.”

talent for four of its five summer season productions, including the British
farce “Black Comedy” by Peter Shaffer; the new comedy “Glorious! The true story
of Florence Foster Jenkins, the worst singer in the world” by Peter Quilter and
